Abstract :
The selection of cost-effect PC software for the analysis of industrial power systems is described. The selection criteria, software packages, and three evaluation examples are discussed. For the examples, the calculation results were acceptable if they were within the accuracy of the input data. Examples of data are the accuracy of impedances, cables, loads, source short circuit capacity, and other input information.<>
