Abstract
Advancement of knowledge competence is fundamental approach of regions obtaining continuable competitive advantage. Elements of regional knowledge competence is defined as three parts including fountain, noumenon and target based on its dynamic forming processes. Intrinsic relationship among elements of regional knowledge competence is analyzed, and then correspond hypothesises are made and structure equation model is constructed. After index system is designed and panel datum of 31 Chinese provinces from 2004 to 2006 are obtained, the model is indentified and conclusions that sustain hypothesises are drawn out. It can be used for reference for decision-making of upgrading Chinese regional knowledge competence.
