Abstract
This paper is focussed on InterANTARCTICA, an interactive installation. InterANTARCTICA uses a tangible interface with multiple interaction technologies that allow users to interact, experience and gain knowledge about climate change. The aim is to use interactive technologies, to effectively raise awareness and educate the public about climate change. This research investigates the application of tangible user interface (TUI) technologies to control visualisation and atmospheric sound. User interactions influence the visualisation and the sound in the installation environment. This paper discusses the technological components in the installation and presents findings taken from a user evaluation of the installation.
