Abstract :
A novel method for radar targets detection in formation is proposed based on the instantaneous frequency (IF) estimation of radar echoes. The time-varying autoregressive (TVAR) model is selected to model the signal and the IF is estimated using the phase of model polars. With the polars selection process and the fusion of the echoes´ time-varying frequency estimation at different range cells, the algorithm is enhanced in robustness
