Title :
Guide for protective relaying of utility-consumer interconnections: summary of revised document
Abstract :
A revision of the IEEE Guide for Protective Relaying of Utility-Consumer Interconnections (ANSI C37.95/IEEE Standard 357) is summarized. Material in the previous guide that is adequately covered by other references has been deemphasized in the revised guide and the sources referenced. New material emphasizing the need for communication and cooperation between the utility and consumer concerning the establishment of the method of supply has been included. The emphasis of the revised guide is the establishment of a common understanding among all of those involved in the design of the control and protection system associated with the interconnection of the utility´s and consumer´s electrical power systems. Typical utility-consumer interconnection configurations, a brief review of protection theory, system studies, and interconnection examples are described.<>
