Abstract :
An improved performance assessment for a slotted CDMA system in the outdoor mobile radio environment is presented. The performance is obtained in terms of throughput and delay of the system in both macro- and micro-cellular systems. Shadowing, fading and near-far effect are incorporated in the channel model. The influence of Forward Error Correction (FEC) coding on the performance parameters is studied
