Abstract
A novel modulator and transmitter subsystem is presented which provides amplification through RF synthesis. The technique has the potential for 100% dc to RF conversion efficiency whilst providing a highly linear output. Based on the LINC concept, the modulator employs feedback around the entire transmitter subsystem to maintain linearity and efficiency with practical component tolerances
