Abstract :
This paper deals with an approach of dynamic modelling for shipboard electric network. The model developed describes the whole system´s behaviour in both steady and transient states. The first step to build the simulator is defining a common frame, then each network´s component is modelled in this frame and finally the whole system´s model is built thanks to the relations connecting the different state vectors. Moreover, in order to compare the simulator´s steady state results, a macroscopic modelling approach based on the resolution of the power flow problem is presented. This model highlights the advantage of the developed simulator since it reproduces the transient behaviour of the system. The dynamic simulator developed under MATLAB/Simulink is a powerful tool which allows studying the system´s behaviour in both steady and transient states. It can be used to predict network´s behaviour and also as software benchmark for stability or control studies.
