Abstract :
This paper proposes a new paging scheme called statistical paging area selection. The network pages mobile station (MS) by paging a sequence of areas in a predetermined order based on either the location statistics collected and reported by the MS or on a temporary location registration in the MS. The simulation example based on a simple model shows several fundamental performances of this scheme
