Abstract :
This paper presents a simulation model of a cellular DS-CDMA system utilising macro diversity, and simulation results, focused on the macro diversity performance. The presented model is dynamic in the sense that the movement of mobile stations and the generation of new connections are random processes. Basic real time link control functions are implemented, following the specification for the CODIT testbed as far as possible. The functions are not synchronised, and each connection is controlled individually. Simulation results are presented, indicating how the macro diversity performance is affected by measurement errors, delays and control rates. Presented results are valid for a micro cellular environment
