Abstract :
In this paper we introduce a new detection algorithm based on Monte Carlo sampling method. The proposed method is numerical in nature. We use importance sampling to estimate unknown parameters and calculate likelihood ratio and call it particle detector (PD). This detector can be used in wide range of detection problems. We have also presented an adaptive radar detection algorithm based on our proposed particle detection scheme
