Abstract :
A new approach to nonlinear decentralized robust governor control of hydroturbine generator sets in a power system is discussed. Non-elastic water hammer and disturbances are considered in the model. Based on the differential geometry theory and nonlinear robust control principle, as well as the dynamic feedback method, the nonlinear decentralized robust control law for hydroturbine governors is presented. It is beneficial to implement the proposed controller where the variables appearing in the expression of the proposed control law are all local measurements and independent to network parameters. Moreover, the digital simulation results have manifested the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy
