Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to design a small antenna which is fabricated by a ceramic process and functions as a receiving antenna inside a DVB-H terminal. The present design is based on the concept of shorted L-type microstrip antenna to comply the requirement of electrically small size. High dielectric constant associated with ceramic process is able to make the antenna further smaller. Multilayer structure in the ceramics is designed in order to create multi-mode which consequently generates a wideband to meet the need of DVB-H reception. Both of simulation and measurement results are reported in this paper.
