Abstract :
The problem of dynamical systems with variable degrees of freedom implementation in Simulink is considered. On the basis of a numerical model of a nonstationary electric arc describing the blowing dynamics and implemented in the C language Simulink/SimPowerSystems block was created. That block allows to represent the arc as generalized consumer which can be used to study the transient process at arc short circuit in high-voltage power grids.
