  • Abstract
    In video streaming over multicast networks, error concealment (EC) is essential to alleviate the effect of packet loss. This paper proposes a spatial EC and temporal EC method that incorporates enhanced bilinear and directional interpolation elements, the use of which is controlled by a mode selection. The proposed method is evaluated in comparison with H.264 JM (Joint Mode) decoder and shows a significant enhancement in gain (up to 6.6dB).
