Abstract :
This paper describes the performance of an adaptive window length algorithm for high speed digital distance protection. The window length of the algorithm is increased automatically from fault inception and the final window length is adaptive to the severity of the disturbance. Extensive simulation results are presented to show that this algorithm possesses excellent performance for various fault types and system configurations
