Abstract :
Presents a method for improving the signal-to-interference-ratio (SIR) for a desired digital signal in the presence of time-varying local multipath reception and interference from other signals. The singular value decomposition (SVD) based method identifies the channel by the aid of a known pilot signal. The method is applied to a multipath, cellular channel with a cochannel interference signal. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated through simulations
