Transactions via short range communication links-analytical evaluation of communication parameters

Dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) networks are mobile radio networks which use short communication zones to send packets between beacons and vehicles controlled by the beacons. Parameters of great interest are the size of the communication area and the packet length for different applications. In this paper an analytical way to calculate this parameter for beacons supporting dialogue services, like automatic fee collection, is discussed
