Abstract
In this paper, we present a data model for 3D geometry and topology in 3D-GIS. This model has simple character to render and load. Query and spatial analysis functions can be added to the data model. This data model can also integrate GIS, virtual reality and the Internet. Models with different levels of detail can be combined and transfer progressively. The algorithm of integration of terrain mode and 3D object is also developed in order to keep the consistency of topological relationship among geometric models. The basic data model can have many different representations. All data with different representations can be watched and operated on the networking environment.
