Abstract :
This paper investigate the performance of consequent pole interior permanent magnet (IPM) machines and comprehensively compare the performance, such as back-EMF, torque density, overload capacity, losses, speed range, etc., of conventional and consequent pole IPM machines for electric vehicle (EV) application.
