  • Abstract
The code phase assignment technique is proposed for indoor mobile and portable DS-CDMA communications. The aims are minimizing the multiple-access interference and increasing the system capacity through the use of optimized cyclic codes as signature sequences in a bit-synchronous environment. Simulation results on the average bit error rate are given. Significantly better performance over conventional DS-CDMA (using unoptimized signature sequences) is shown in the presence of larger number of users
