Abstract :
Supply chain analysis is related to issues as strategic management, organizational management, mapping and modeling, information systems, performance indicators etc. This range of topics can only be executed to its potentials if managers or analysts can obtain a proper oversight of the relevant concepts, methods, and tools. Shortcomings of the decision makers´ current real life system can be supported by context navigation tools, structured in a way that represents essential knowledge in a particular field. Context navigation tools typically fall in the category of structured knowledge, an intermediary type of knowledge between declarative and procedural knowledge. The essential knowledge for supply chain analysis is discussed and a basic knowledge structure for context navigation in this field is discussed. An example to support the functional feasibility is added.
