Abstract :
Maneuvering target tracking (MTT) is widely applied in military and civil fields. Aimed to the problems concerning MTT and based on the current statistic model (CSM), this paper implements the engineering application of the Kalman filter algorithm. In order to improve the MTT agility and the filter precision, some optimization and modification to CSM is performed and an adaptive filter algorithm called speed warp estimation (SWE) is proposed in this paper. This new algorithm adjusts the variance of acceleration by means of the warp between velocity prediction estimation and velocity filter estimation. Simulation and tests show that the SWE algorithm has a better filter performance
