Abstract
A calibration technique is proposed to handle the minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) adaptive beamforming problems involving unknown perturbed sensor/channel gain and phase. This technique is using basically the property of the MUSIC null spectrum. From the computer study, it is found that this technique exhibits relatively stable performance over other existing techniques in the sense that it produces the required estimates accurately and consistently without the needs of iterative computation and initialisation
