Abstract :
Based on the existed sub-bed methods and cutting programs in the clothing industry, a software system was developed expecting to generate the cutting program automatically. Greedy algorithm was adopted in the calculation. Maximum spreading layer and layout number were selected as the basic consideration, the system can meet the requirement of the maximum layout number and spreading layer using limited bed. Optimum selection may be reached when using the established system.
