  • Abstract
A fuzzy expert system for power converter design is presented. This system helps inexperienced designers to design, simulate and optimize power converters. By applying fuzzy logic technique, an optimum topology of power converter is selected. Then the converter is simulated and optimized to meet the designer´s requirements. The expert system uses readily available programs such as PSpice, MATLAB and Magnetics Designer as building blocks to avoid “re-inventing the wheel”. The features and implementation of the expert system are described in this paper
