  • Abstract
    For high power high performance electrical propulsion, multi-phase variable speed technologies are usually adopted, and the multi-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) is one of the key technologies in the multi-phase variable speed. Taking five-phase system as example, several kind of space vectors PWM (SVPWM) are analyzed, such as near two vectors SVPWM (NTV-SVPWM), near four vectors SVPWM (NFV-SVPWM), discontinuous SVPWM (DSVPWM) and so on. Characteristics such as modulation range, harmonics, switching loss of those SVPWMs are analyzed and compared. Application fields of those SVPWMs are suggested according to their feature.
