Abstract :
This paper introduces a new cooperative localization method for wireless sensor network called symmetric multi-way ranging (SMWR). By performing multiway ranging symmetrically in two phases, this method is able to eliminate the error caused by crystal timing drift and is energy efficient as well. Simulation results show that the proposed SMWR method significantly outperforms prior work under random crystal timing drift assumption.
