Abstract :
The problem of increasing the resolution of an image Ik is stated as an inverse problem of image reduction. The enlarged image must belong to the set of images which best approximates Ik after reducing. A projection of any image onto this set provides one of the possible enlarged images of Ik. This is what we call an induction of Ik onto a set of acceptable super-resolutions. Different projection methods are proposed and illustrated with experimental results
