Abstract :
Efficient video duplicate detection is of great practical significance in many applications. In this paper, we propose a computational geometry approach for video duplicate detection. In the proposed scheme, video clips are modeled as curves in a scaled appearance space. Curves are simplified through spline modeling and distortion threshold controlled point selection. Duplicate detection is therefore achieved by a fast line segment matching algorithm. Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
