Abstract :
The OFDMA technology has been proposed as one of the main downlink schemes for the B3G systems. In this paper, the characteristics of a Wiener filter based channel estimation scheme have been investigated for the downlink OFDMA system. The basic pilot patterns have also been studied for the proposed channel estimator. In general, it has been shown that with proper pilot density, a 2D Wiener filter can provide good performance in different channel conditions. So such a channel estimator can be proposed as one of the suitable channel estimation schemes for the downlink OFDMA system.
