Abstract :
Phoenix Integration, a software development company, does not have a sufficiently reliable method of tracking attrition of license renewals. This project provides the client with a web based application that delivers visual representations of license count, attrition, upcoming maintenance, and customer reports. These will provide the client with a better understanding of the trends of their license renewals. The web application interacts with a MySQL database supplied by Phoenix Integration. SQL queries were used to perform data mining to extract necessary information for each visual report. PHP, HTML, and JavaScript were used to construct the visual reports displayed to the user. Phoenix Integration´s database was evaluated based on ease of use and structural comprehension. Suggestions for improvement were provided to streamline the purpose of the database. In addition, a simplified relational schema was created as a proposed solution.
