Abstract :
The UNI interoperability trial was an extremely successful event. It achieved it´s goals of accelerating the development and adoption of UNI inter-working agreements, as a result the OIF UNI 1.0 inter-working agreement has a high level of maturity and a final draft has been submitted for principal ballot. In addition generalised multiprotocol label switching (GMPLS) signaling drafts are also in a very mature state and may soon move to the RFC stage of the standardization process.
