New ways to provide better services have to be sought about so that the service can sustain in the open market place in the long run. Research work related to service evolution involves the monitoring of changes in the service environment, the analysis to service requirements, and the composition or reconfiguration of services on demand. This paper aims to build an analysis framework from the perspective of service providers. It first analyzes the relationships between changes in services users´ need and changes required for the provided services. Then a modelling framework is proposed to support the description of existing services, identification of essential variables and definition of tactics of service evolution and measurements to inspire innovative design of services.
