Abstract :
Grid monitoring and information service is a key part of a grid system, and sometimes it may he the bottleneck when improving the performance of a system. Therefore the design and implementation of it should be as simple as possible. However, many of the present tools about grid monitoring and information service are too large and too difficult to configure and use, at the same time they may increase costs of the system. So we designed a simpler model after we\´ve analyzed the requirements and model of grid monitoring and information service, and implemented it. The paper presents the design principles of our grid monitoring and information service "PGMIS" and how we implemented it
