Abstract :
The service discovery is a crucial part of any wireless network because it has a direct effect on the network efficiency and usability. This work proposes a signalling model that could be used for registry and updating of services with a simulation model for service discovery in personal clusters based on WLAN air interface network. The personal cluster is a network that is owned by one user. However, this model is still valid for any trusted network. Simulation model and analysis of the performance for this approach have been presented. Simulation results show that the end-to-end delay is less affected by the number of nodes when this technique is applied. This work is sponsored by a communication EU project named MAGNET BEYOND.
