Abstract :
This paper presents an iron loss measurement method on the basis of locked rotor test to remove a mechanical loss effect. Iron loss can be estimated by reproducing the magnetic flux linkage which is made by locked rotor windings. Estimated no-load iron loss of stator is confirmed that it matches the original ones by finite element analysis.
