Abstract :
This paper is concerned with asymptotic unknown input observers (UIOs) for two-dimensional (2-D) systems. A sufficient condition for the existence of the asymptotic UIO is given in terms of the rank conditions of the given system matrices. Based on this condition, a simple and effective method for designing asymptotic UIOs for 2-D systems is given. An example is also presented to illustrate the proposed design method.
