Abstract :
The effect of a DC offset on the OFDM wireless LAN (WLAN) signal could produce a severe performance degradation, especially for the high data rate transmission modes. Based on its analysis, it is shown which signal portion is most suitable for DC offset estimation. An analytical expression for the optimal estimator is given and finally efficient estimator implementations are derived.
