Abstract :
The newly developed hybrid module with integrated polarisation beam combiner (PBC) achieved a maximum fibre output power of over 1 W. At the case temperature of 75 degrees, the new module showed maximum fibre output-power of 775 mW, and nominal operating output power around 650 mW, in conjunction with degree of polarisation (DOP) as low as 5%.
