Abstract :
The current rapid growth in the cellular market and in wireless LANs will in future years ensure an explosion in the use of civilian spread spectrum (SS) systems in the USA and Europe. Since these systems are expected to operate in increasingly dense communication environments the profitability and the success of each system will be determined by the resilience of its receiver system against electromagnetic interference (EMI). In spite of this there is currently no tools or test procedures where such electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) related interference effects are accounted for in the design of these systems
