Abstract
This paper studies a novel open-winding hybrid excitation generator system for the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). Compared with the traditional generation system, it reduces the numbers of the full controlled devices in the main circuit. In order to solve the problem that battery voltage is too high which results in the increase of the battery numbers and the high withstand voltage of switch. This paper optimizes the battery voltage in the open-winding generator system. The minimum battery voltage mathematical model was established. And it is verified to be correct by the simulation and experiment results.
