Abstract :
A wavelength stabilization method for broadly-tunable SSG-DBR lasers is demonstrated. The simplified control circuit enables us to obtain stable operations even under the laser temperature change. The degradation of the tuning characteristics of DBR lasers can be prevented if the proposed stabilization method is used. The proposed stabilization method should be effective in obtaining highly reliable light sources for photonic network systems.
