Abstract :
We introduce an analytical model to characterize the distribution of the base station (BS) power in the forward link of CDMA systems, which leads to a closed-form expression of the blocking probability. Real system parameters, such as the soft handoff threshold and the power control error, are taken into consideration. The knowledge of the distribution of the BS power can be used to design a fine call admission control in the CDMA systems.
