Abstract :
Various techniques have been developed to control the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) using the current injected to the rotor, due to its advantages. In doing so the designer has to face many problems with regard to finding the correct controller. Control engineering is an extensively developed area and it is an extremely difficult task for the designer to select and utilize the best available technology. And also for this particular instant tracking of the rotor position has faced many practical problems. This paper presents a discussion on the techniques that have been developed for tracking the rotor position for the DFIG controllers.
