Abstract
A novel blind channel estimation scheme is presented for space-time coded OFDM (STC-OFDM) systems. This scheme obtains the channel estimates by exploiting the priori knowledge of the mapping constellation and the minimum leakage method, rather than the statistical properties of signals, and requires short data records especially for moderate and high SNRs, thus can achieve competitive performance in time varying channels. Simulation results comparing this scheme with a training-based scheme in time varying channels are presented
