Abstract :
We review the generation, detection and transmission performance of multi-carrier based superchannels, synthesized using coherent optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CO-OFDM), that can support 400-Gb/s and 1-Tb/s data rates at high spectral efficiencies.
