  • Abstract
    Recent advances in the design of high-speed polymer optical fiber transmission systems are reviewed. Based on state-of-the-art component parameters, achievable receiver sensitivities are analyzed. It is shown that digital signal processing can enable gigabit over POF transmission systems.
