Abstract :
In this paper we describe a numerical procedure to analyze finite-size hard surfaces within parallel-plate waveguides. The code developed is used to optimize the hard surface to force the propagation of a quasi-TEM mode in oversized waveguides. Application of this structure to planar slot arrays will be shown.
