Abstract
In this paper we propose a highly multifunctional pixel antenna for WiMax applications, that uses micro electromechanical switches (MEMS) to reconfigure its radiation modes and operating frequency. These capabilities can be used to improve the performance of current narrowband communication systems. This work was supported in part by the National Science Foundation award ECS-0424454.
